We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Transport Assistant to join our team at Secure Care UK - Bases. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing safe and respectful transportation services to patients in need.
Key Responsibilities- Transport patients to and from various locations, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients during transportation, promoting a calm and comfortable environment.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and transportation.
- Maintain accurate records and reports, adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance skills and knowledge in patient care and transportation.
- Valid Full UK Manual Driving License with a minimum of 12 months driving experience.
- Enhanced DBS certificate (preferred).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team, promoting a positive and respectful work environment.
- Physical and mental stamina to handle the demands of the role.

Please note that due to the nature of the business and client requirements, we reserve the right to change working times with reasonable notice.
Salary and BenefitsThis contract is paid at a blended hourly rate ranging from £11.62 p/h to £12.62 p/h (Day, Night and Weekend Shifts). Annual remuneration to start from £25,735.85 to £29,278.60, based on expected hours. This is to be discussed during the interview process.
We also offer enhanced pay of £1.20 extra per hour for work at a Mental Health 'place of safety' and for bed watch activities, supporting ward staff.
