Position Overview:
The Lead Procurement Strategist will be instrumental in overseeing procurement and supplier management functions within a reputable organization. Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the principal commercial procurement authority, collaborating with subject matter experts across various professional services and technical domains.
  • Oversee procurement and supply chain operations throughout the organization.
  • Formulate and execute procurement strategies that align with organizational goals.
  • Ensure adherence to procurement regulations and industry best practices.
  • Negotiate supplier contracts to achieve maximum value.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Evaluate supplier performance and implement enhancement strategies.
  • Design and deliver procurement training programs for staff.
  • Support the organization’s sustainability and social responsibility objectives through effective procurement practices.
  • Exhibit commercial acumen, creativity, and adaptability to optimize procurement outcomes.
  • Lead and manage initiatives related to strategic and complex procurement activities.
  • Enhance the organization’s commercial maturity by capitalizing on opportunities through engagement with internal and external stakeholders, third-party suppliers, and supply markets.
  • Guide and manage a team and stakeholders through significant organizational changes.

Candidate Profile:
The successful Lead Procurement Strategist should possess:

  • A proven history of operating at a strategic level in procurement and supply chain management.
  • Exceptional negotiation capabilities with a strong commercial perspective.
  • Robust leadership and management skills.
  • Familiarity with procurement regulations and best practices.
  • The ability to cultivate and sustain relationships with key stakeholders to drive success.

Compensation and Benefits:
Competitive salary range of £44,000 - £56,000 annually.
