We seek a proactive and dynamic professional who can contribute significantly to our dedicated Finance team, assisting the senior management in cultivating an inclusive and diverse workplace while supporting the Trust in achieving its strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Care Group management team to identify and address financial challenges, providing support to facilitate informed decision-making that aligns with Trust objectives and financial plans.
  • Take the lead in forecasting year-end financial positions and developing intricate financial plans and strategies to assist Care Groups in meeting organizational goals.
  • Supervise the Trust's Vacancy Control process for the designated Care Group/Service Area.
  • Offer specialized knowledge to the Care Group on various aspects of financial monitoring.
  • Assist Care Groups in crafting Business cases through the analysis of complex scenarios.
  • Oversee the generation of monthly budget reports and formulate financial action plans in response to identified variances.
  • Support the Finance Business Partner and Head of Financial Management with central reporting duties, delegating tasks to team members as necessary.
  • Collaborate with Care Groups to devise efficiency initiatives, pinpointing target areas, testing plans, and ensuring successful implementation.
  • Manage the trainee management accountant, overseeing their wellbeing, performance evaluations, mandatory training, and attendance.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential Qualifications

  • CCAB qualified/Finalist
  • Degree in Accounting or Finance related field

  • Proven experience in a financial management role within a large and complex organization
  • Proficiency in various accounting software
  • Experience in preparing and analyzing financial reports, budgets, and forecasts
