The Role

Our client, a reputable and expanding Irish firm specializing in electrical and mechanical engineering, is seeking a skilled Payroll Specialist to become part of their team. The ideal candidate will possess substantial experience in payroll management and demonstrate strong analytical and interpersonal abilities, effectively collaborating with various departments such as HR, Logistics, and Recruitment.

Key Responsibilities

Full Payroll Management: Oversee the complete payroll cycle for the group of companies, which includes:

  • Calculating and processing subcontractor orders
  • Facilitating payments to subcontractors
  • Managing onboarding and offboarding processes for new hires and terminations

Analytical Review: Conduct thorough analyses of weekly payroll reports and assist with year-end procedures.

Statutory Compliance: Prepare and submit necessary statutory returns to tax authorities.

Payroll Advisory: Provide expert payroll advice and address payroll-related inquiries effectively.

Record Maintenance: Ensure the maintenance of accurate financial information and uphold confidentiality regarding personal data.

Pension Management: Assist in the management of pension schemes and auto-enrolment processes.

Collaboration: Work closely with relevant departments to ensure consistency and compliance in payroll-related matters, including benefits and statutory requirements.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in Payroll or a comparable accounting role
  • Proficient Microsoft Excel skills
  • Experience with Financial Management systems and software
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • A solid understanding of payroll compliance and processes
