About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Paediatric Physiotherapist to join our dynamic team at Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust. As a Senior Paediatric Physiotherapy Specialist, you will play a key role in providing a high-quality, comprehensive, and proactive clinical physiotherapy service for children and young people (0 to 19) referred to our specialist children's physiotherapy service.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide neurological and neurodevelopmental therapy assessment, intervention, and review for children and young people.
  • Manage a complex caseload of clients with a variety of developmental disabilities.
  • Provide clinical supervision and management to a small number of staff members.
  • Work within a variety of care pathways, including special schools, developmental clinics for under-fives, CPIPSE clinics, and community settings.
  • Assess and treat all ages individually or in a group.

Requirements

  • Diploma/Degree in Physiotherapy.
  • HCPC Registration (Health Professionals Council).
  • Evidence of CPD (Continuous Professional Development).
  • Safeguarding/Child Protection.
  • Paediatric manual handling.
  • Post-registration paediatric training.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

  • Member of APCP (Association of Paediatric Chartered Physiotherapists).
  • Member of CSP (Chartered Society of Physiotherapy).
  • Leadership training.
  • Student supervisors course.
  • Working at specialist level as demonstrated by ongoing CPD, including M-level accredited courses attended and clinical experience gained.
  • Training in Bobath, Orthotics, Aquatic Therapy, DCD, sensory integration.
