Nolan Recruitment Solutions is currently seeking a Waste Management Assessor to join a rapidly expanding team. This role is essential in managing the waste acceptance process from inception to final disposal.
The primary function at this facility involves the intake of waste materials via road transport. Key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing the waste acceptance process from initial inquiry to final disposal.
- Evaluating site investigation reports and laboratory results to classify waste and ascertain its appropriateness for the facility, ensuring adherence to Environmental Permits and Waste Acceptance Procedures (WAP).
- Conducting adequate sampling and performing risk assessments for new projects or inquiries, taking into account project volume, site history, and waste management processes.
- Visiting potential project sites with suppliers to assess suitability.
- Ensuring the completion of quotes, Basic Characterisation Forms, and all necessary statutory documentation for waste acceptance.
- Collaborating with the operations team to confirm material compliance and address any quality concerns with clients.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A strong understanding of the waste management sector with the capability to analyze and interpret laboratory data.
- Experience working in accordance with Environmental Permitting Regulations and site-specific waste acceptance protocols.
- A proven track record in building and maintaining client relationships and securing new projects.
- Experience in providing regular reports to regulatory authorities.
- Proficiency in IT, particularly in MS Office, with a strong emphasis on Excel.
