About the RoleOur client, a pioneering company in Rainham, is seeking a Compliance and Regulatory Manager to join their dynamic team. This role will be crucial in overseeing the waste acceptance process from cradle to grave.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and support the Compliance Officer and Weighbridge Operator.
- Oversee the waste acceptance process from initial enquiry to disposal.
- Analyse site investigation reports and lab results to classify waste and determine its suitability for the site, ensuring compliance with our Environmental Permit and Waste Acceptance Procedures (WAP).
- Ensure adequate sampling and conduct risk assessments for new sites or enquiries, considering project volume, site history, and waste processes.
- Conduct site visits to prospective project locations with suppliers.
- Ensure completion of quotes, Basic Characterisation Forms, and all required statutory paperwork for waste acceptance.
- Collaborate with the operations team to verify material compliance and address any quality issues with the client.
- Strong knowledge of the waste industry with the ability to analyse and interpret lab data.
- Work according to Environmental Permitting Regulations and site-specific waste acceptance procedures.
- Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships and secure new projects.
- Experience in providing regular reports to regulatory bodies.
- Proficient in IT, especially skilled in using MS Office, with a focus on Excel.
