Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join our team at Vistry Group. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day coordination and design of engineering projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Coordination: Oversee the design and detailing of engineering projects, including the procurement of service records and enquiries for new developments.
  • Design Management: Ensure that all engineering designs are in line with company policies and processes, and that proposals adhere to best practice in value engineering.
  • Site Management: Liaise with site teams to ensure that all engineering requirements are met, and that sites are furnished with the required information packages.
  • Consultant Management: Manage and coordinate the work of external consultants, ensuring that designs are delivered on time and to the required standard.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure that all sites are safe and that all engineering activities are carried out in accordance with company health and safety policies.
  • Documentation: Prepare and maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation, including health and safety files and as-built documentation.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor of Engineering degree (BEng) or equivalent qualifications.
  • Experience: Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of engineering principles and practices.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Knowledge: Strong knowledge of engineering software and systems, including Geosite, Smart Engineer, Autotrack, Microdrainage, and PDS.
