About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled User-Centered Design Consultant to join our team at Informed Solutions. As a key member of our design team, you will play a crucial role in helping our clients deliver innovative digital solutions that meet their business needs.

Your primary responsibility will be to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to design and deliver user-centered solutions that drive business value. You will be responsible for conducting user research, developing design concepts, and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure that our solutions meet the needs of our clients and their users.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct user research to inform design decisions and ensure that our solutions meet the needs of our clients and their users.
  • Develop design concepts and prototypes that are grounded in user research and meet the business needs of our clients.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that our solutions are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Advocate for user needs and ensure that our solutions are user-centered and meet the needs of our clients and their users.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in user-centered design and apply this knowledge to our projects.
Requirements
  • Experience working in a user-centered design team in a consultancy, agency, or in-house setting.
  • Skills in one or more UCD disciplines such as user research, UX design, service design, content design, or interaction design.
  • Knowledge of user-centered design principles, best practices, and artefacts such as prototypes, journey maps, and personas.
  • Experience working with teams and/or clients to embed user-centered design practices.
  • Ability to adapt and identify appropriate UCD processes and methods to a variety of environments.
  • Ability to empathize with different types of users and build a clear understanding of their perspectives.
  • Ability to take an innovative and creative approach to problem-solving.
  • Awareness of software development lifecycle and ability to apply UCD methods in a technology-focused environment.
  • A degree qualification or equivalent experience in a related discipline.
  • Excellent communication skills to work with colleagues and senior client stakeholders.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines within a fast-paced and agile environment.
  • Excellent work planning capabilities and time management skills.
  • Ability to balance conflicting deadlines and priorities.
  • A high attention to detail.
  • Punctuality, reliability, and a clear commitment to your role.
