Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Research Pharmacist to contribute to our Clinical Pharmacy division, with a primary focus on clinical research. This role encompasses conducting research clinics, managing medication dispensing, overseeing Clinical Trials, and ensuring the safe disposal of investigational medicinal products. Engaging directly with patients is a significant component of this position, which includes administering research clinics and vaccinations. The successful candidate will also play a role in the design and execution of clinical trials, collaborate with various teams, and uphold a high standard of clinical service.

Key Responsibilities:

Research Activities:

  • Provide expert clinical input in the development and implementation of approved clinical trial opportunities.
  • Conduct research clinics while ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation and ensure data integrity throughout the research process.
  • Oversee the storage and disposal of medications in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Work collaboratively with pharmacy technicians and other departments to facilitate research initiatives.
  • Document and report adverse events, generating necessary reports as required.

Clinical Trial Support:

  • Establish trial-specific documentation and manage investigational medicinal products effectively.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to enhance trial management.
  • Follow disposal protocols and keep stakeholders informed about project developments.
  • Offer expertise and guidance on matters related to clinical trials.

Primary Care Clinical Pharmacy Services:

  • Conduct thorough medication reviews, manage prescribing practices, and monitor patient care outcomes.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize the use of medications.
  • Stay informed about national and local medication safety regulations.

Professional Responsibilities:

  • Uphold confidentiality and maintain professional accountability.
  • Engage in continuous professional development and training opportunities.
  • Perform medication screening and dispensing checks to ensure safety.

Additional Services:

  • Support the development of new clinical services and engage with relevant stakeholders.
  • Provide clinical advice, referral support, and assist with inspections as needed.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and healthcare professionals to enhance service delivery.

Qualifications:

Current GPhC registration is required.
