Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

ARM is seeking a dedicated Software Engineer in Test (SEIT) to become a vital part of our pioneering SoC Bring Up and Debugger tooling solutions team.
The ARM Debugger team, operating within Central Engineering - Software, is focused on developing advanced SoC Bring Up tools aimed at improving our existing software and hardware debugging products.
We are looking for a candidate who possesses a comprehensive understanding of testing principles and methodologies, along with a strong background in test automation and continuous integration practices.
This role supports a hybrid working model, promoting flexibility and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering high-quality automated tests and developing robust test frameworks.
- Engage collaboratively within an Agile team to assist in requirement gathering and design evaluations to ensure product excellence.
- Work closely with developers to design and implement effective tests.
- Perform exploratory testing and manage the execution of manual test strategies.
- Oversee nightly regression and continuous integration testing, including the analysis of initial test failures.
- Extensive experience in testing applications on Linux and Windows platforms or embedded systems.
- Proficient in Linux command line usage.
- Practical experience with a programmable Continuous Integration system, ideally Jenkins.
- Strong programming skills in Python or a similar scripting language.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in testing User Interfaces and usability aspects.
- Familiarity with Robot Framework for test creation.
- Basic understanding of Java or C++ programming languages.
- Knowledge of cloud service platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Experience with containerization technologies like Kubernetes and Docker.
- Familiarity with embedded debugging tools such as ARM Development Studio and the DSTREAM family of JTAG/SWD debug probes.
