Job Title - Global Tender Manager

Location - Leeds, United Kingdom

Travel Requirements - Travel required approximately 20% of the time (customer meetings or internal meetings)

Your Mission

Oversee the preparation and submission of bids for global data center construction projects for a key client. Act as the primary liaison for the client regarding all project submissions.

Key Responsibilities
  • During the pre-tender phase, in collaboration with the account team and global technical leaders,
    • Ensure Schneider Electric is recognized as the primary vendor by the client,
    • Assist the commercial team in establishing a master supply/purchase agreement with the client,
    • Manage the project pipeline for upcoming tenders with the client.
  • During the tender phase,
    • Serve as the main point of contact for the account team and client during the proposal preparation,
    • Be responsible for implementing the tender strategy for the portfolio of opportunities for your VIP client.
    • With support from the global technical leader, ensure that the commercial and technical solutions proposed align with the client's key success criteria,
    • In collaboration with the solution risk manager, assess and mitigate risks identified based on recommendations from finance, legal, tax, risk, and supply chain teams,
    • Lead the internal tender review and approval process prior to submitting the proposal to the client.
  • Post-submission of the proposal:
    • Support the account team during negotiations with the client until a mutual agreement is reached,
    • Facilitate the transition to the execution team,
    • Collect lessons learned for application in future commercial proposals.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Experience in complex solution tendering or high-profile client projects.

Demonstrated ability to lead functional and remote teams with diverse profiles (tender engineers, technical, finance, legal, etc.).
Proven track record in negotiating contracts with clients.
Excellent communication skills in English.
