HR Case Manager - Key Role

As an HR Case Manager, you will play a pivotal role in providing strategic advice and guidance to managers on intricate HR issues, such as capability, serious conduct, employee relations, and suspensions and investigations management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to managers on complex HR matters, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Review and analyze investigation reports and complex letters or communications to inform decision-making.
  • Support managers in the day-to-day management of serious/complex employment issues, providing coaching and guidance as needed.
Key Performance Indicators
  • Manage a portfolio of HR cases, prioritizing activities based on the needs of each case and applicable deadlines or timescales.
  • Provide over-the-phone and face-to-face support to Managers or act as HR lead on complex people matters, ensuring effective communication and resolution.
  • Review and prepare letters/documents in readiness for and after formal hearings, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Record cases accurately on the Case Management System, maintaining up-to-date records and reports.
  • Coach managers in aspects of people management, including communication, robust decision-making, fairness, and consistency, to promote a positive and inclusive work environment.
Requirements
  • Proven track record of managing a range of complex HR cases, with a strong understanding of UK employment law and legislation.
  • Demonstrable, comprehensive up-to-date working knowledge of UK employment law and legislation, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a practical context.
  • Confident communication with people at all levels, with the ability to build strong relationships and partnerships.
  • Demonstrate strong partnership working with a variety of stakeholders, including managers, employees, and external partners.
  • Ideal CIPD qualification (Level 7) or equivalent experience in HR management.
