Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the representative for the Head of Alternative Investments during their absence.
- Serve as the primary communication liaison between Scope Fund Analysis and our clientele.
- Advance Scope's analytical frameworks and methodologies.
- Evaluate both qualitative and quantitative aspects of funds, including structural and operational risks, as well as legal and regulatory considerations.
- Oversee existing ratings and, when necessary, propose timely reviews and modifications.
- Establish and manage peer group comparisons.
- Engage in discussions with clients, investors, and asset managers, delivering presentations and briefings at a high level of professionalism.
- Exhibit readiness to travel and demonstrate flexibility in accepting and executing assigned tasks.
- Collaborate closely with fellow team members in Alternative Investments, guiding junior analysts in their workload.
- Produce insightful, high-quality research and analytical commentary in a timely manner.
- Share knowledge on emerging topics with colleagues and foster learning within the team.
- Provide mentorship to team members in generating regular performance reports and analyses.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in the financial sector, showcasing analytical and quantitative skills with a robust understanding of Alternative Investments, particularly in private equity and debt.
- Comprehensive knowledge of private markets, including private equity, private debt, infrastructure, and real estate.
- A proactive approach with a strong sense of responsibility and an entrepreneurial mindset.
- Independent thinker with exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- A multi-cultural, collaborative, self-motivated, versatile, inquisitive, and detail-oriented individual.
- Experience in research writing with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- A team-oriented individual with excellent interpersonal capabilities.
- Ability to meet deadlines and inspire others to do the same.
