Job Summary

The Role

We are seeking a skilled and versatile Multi Skilled Operative to join our team at North Devon Homes. As a key member of our planned, voids and response team, you will be responsible for carrying out general maintenance to customer's homes, including responsive repairs and minor works in the North Devon area.

Main Responsibilities

  • To carry out a wide range of high-quality repairs to domestic dwellings, utilizing most craft trade skills, including diagnosing and rectifying faults, in accordance with our repair obligations, to the customer's satisfaction as far as possible.
  • To plan and manage work effectively, ensuring timely completion of tasks and minimal disruption to customers.
  • To accurately account for all materials used in carrying out works orders, and to maintain an adequate van stock to enable all normal minor repairs to be effected on one visit.
  • To develop effective working relationships with colleagues, partners, and key stakeholders, promoting a positive and supportive team environment.

About You

  • You will be a skilled tradesperson with demonstrable experience in wet trades, drylining, and masonry, with additional experience of basic carpentry, wall tiling, patch plastering, and painting and decorating.
  • You will have a working knowledge of health & safety principles and be able to work well in a team environment, be comfortable working independently, and be supportive of others.
  • You will hold a full driver's license and be able to travel to various locations in the North Devon area.
