As a key member of the Cyber Operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the firm's information assets.
Your role will involve analyzing and reducing Barclays' cyber threat landscape by understanding and evaluating external cyber threats, guiding relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and providing strategic direction and oversight to the team. You will be responsible for workload prioritization, project assignments, and ensuring the team is equipped to respond to emerging cyber threats.
Key Responsibilities- Manage security monitoring systems, including intrusive prevention and detection systems, to alert, detect, and block potential cyber security incidents.
- Identify emerging cyber security threats, attack techniques, and technologies to detect and prevent incidents.
- Manage and analyze security information and event management systems to collect, correlate, and analyze security logs, events, and alerts.
- Triage data loss prevention alerts to identify and prevent sensitive data from being exfiltrated from the bank's network.
- Manage cyber security incidents, including remediation and driving to closure.
- Advise key stakeholders, including functional leadership teams and senior management, on functional and cross-functional areas of impact and alignment.
- Manage and mitigate risks through assessment, in support of the control and governance agenda.
- Demonstrate leadership and accountability for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the team's work.
- Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the organization's functions to contribute to achieving business goals.
- Collaborate with other areas of work for business-aligned support areas to stay up-to-date with business activity and strategies.
This role is based in Knutsford and London, and all colleagues are expected to demonstrate the Barclays Values of Respect, Integrity, Service, Excellence, and Stewardship, as well as the Barclays Mindset of Empower, Challenge, and Drive.
