Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Senior Healthcare Support Worker to join our multidisciplinary team at Woodland View Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will work collaboratively to deliver high-quality patient care, supporting Registered Nurses in their duties and contributing to the development of individual care plans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out a range of personal care activities, clinical care tasks, and other duties as delegated by and in support of a Registered Nurse.
  • Work in partnership with the Registered Nurse to review patient care plans and competently perform necessary aspects of care within your scope of clinical practice.
  • Record care delivery and report back to the Registered Nurse to ensure delivery of a high standard.
  • Demonstrate a range of core skills to competently undertake patient care and other tasks and activities.
  • Show initiative and work without direct supervision as required, on a daily basis.
  • Awareness, understanding, and compliance of policies and practices, such as the Escort Policy, Prevention and control of infection, and Health and Safety.
  • Completion of in-house training programs as required.
  • Understanding and compliance with HCSW mandatory induction standards and code of conduct.
  • Completion and maintenance of statutory & mandatory learning activities.

Requirements

  • SVQ3 in a healthcare-related subject or equivalent knowledge gained in a relevant area through experience, on-the-job training, and/or short courses.
  • Ability to demonstrate a range of core skills to competently undertake patient care and other tasks and activities.
  • Ability to show initiative and work without direct supervision as required, on a daily basis.
  • Awareness, understanding, and compliance of policies and practices.

Working Hours

2 posts - 37 hours per week
