We are partnering with a leading Higher Education provider in the West Midlands to appoint a Head of Information Compliance on a permanent basis. This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, with two days of remote work per week, and a competitive salary ranging from £45,000 to £54,000 per annum.

Key Responsibilities:

* Ensure high levels of compliance with GDPR, SAR, FOIA, and other relevant legislation
* Provide expert advice on GDPR/data protection and FOI compliance, including drafting and negotiating contracts involving personal data
* Lead on key agreements, such as DPIAs and Data Sharing Agreements
* Continuously improve GDPR and FOIA compliance across the institution, including policies and procedures
* Partner with university departments to advise on records management
* Develop frameworks, policies, and procedures, and provide training on data protection and records management

Requirements:

* Qualified Solicitor or strong experience working within Legal Services
* Strong understanding of GDPR, SAR, FOIA, and other relevant legislation
* Excellent communication and advisory skills
