Job Title: Head of Information Compliance

We are partnering with a leading Higher Education provider in the West Midlands to appoint a Head of Information Compliance on a permanent basis.

This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, with 2 days of home working, and a competitive salary in the range of £45,000 to £54,000 per annum.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure high levels of compliance with GDPR, SAR, FOIA, and other relevant legislation
  • Provide expert advice on GDPR/data protection and FOI compliance, including drafting and negotiating contracts involving personal data
  • Lead on key agreements, such as DPIAs and Data Sharing Agreements
  • Continuously improve GDPR and FOIA compliance across the institution, including records management
  • Partner with university departments to advise on records management
  • Draft and develop frameworks, policies, and procedures for data protection and records management
  • Line manage and supervise 2 direct reports
Requirements:
  • Qualified Solicitor or strong experience working in Legal Services and answering legal queries
