About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our Legal Services team as a Data Protection and Compliance Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a leading global university, contributing to the development of our data protection and compliance practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage the University's data protection and compliance activities, ensuring compliance with GDPR, FOIA, and other relevant legislation.
  • Provide high-quality advice on data protection and compliance, including drafting and negotiating contracts involving the processing of personal data.
  • Embed and continuously improve data protection and compliance across the institution, including the development of policies, procedures, and training programs.
  • Work closely with Professional Services and Academic departments to provide expertise in records management and ensure that the University's data, records, and information are appropriately managed, stored, accessible, and retrievable.
  • Develop and support regular training and knowledge dissemination in relation to good practice on data protection and records management.
