Job Title: Compliance Administrator

We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance Administrator to join our team at The Schools of King Edward VI in Birmingham. As a key member of our risk and compliance department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the organization's compliance with legislation and regulatory frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the insurance claims process for our schools, foundation office, and charitable foundation, ensuring efficient and effective resolution of claims.
  • Work closely with the Risk and Policy Manager to develop and implement a comprehensive risk assurance framework, identifying and mitigating potential risks to the organization.
  • Collaborate with school-based staff to ensure compliance with policies and procedures, and provide guidance and support as needed.
  • Develop and maintain policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and ensure that all entities of the Foundation and Academy Trust have up-to-date and compliant policies on their websites.
  • Support the Data Protection Officer, Data Protection Lead, and Head of Governance in resolving data protection-related queries and ensuring compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Conduct policy, control, and data audits, and document incidents centrally.
  • Contribute to relevant committees and working groups, and participate in academy life, including occasional evening and weekend events.
Requirements:
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work analytically in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, with the ability to acquire and update skills as software packages develop.
  • Experience working in risk and compliance, or a related field, is highly desirable.

The Schools of King Edward VI in Birmingham is an educational charity and is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act and therefore the ability to speak fluent and spoken English is an essential requirement for this role.
