Job Summary

The Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled Consultant in Perioperative Medicine to join our team. This exciting opportunity will allow the successful candidate to work with a specialist interest in Care of the Elderly and/or Anaesthesia.

Main Duties
  • Work collaboratively with the Intensive Care and Perioperative Medicine team to develop and implement perioperative care services.
  • Contribute to the development of the Perioperative Service, working closely with the Acute Surgery department and other multidisciplinary teams.
  • Provide leadership and expertise in the care of elderly patients undergoing surgery, with a focus on optimising perioperative care.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of evidence-based models of care, in line with national guidance and best practice.
