Job Title: Maths and English Tutor

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Maths and English Tutor to join our team at Prospero Teaching. As a Tutor, you will be responsible for creating and delivering 1:1 tailored lessons to bridge gaps in pupils' education and boost attainment levels.

About the Role:

This is an ongoing placement, with hours dependent on the young person's needs. You will work closely with our team to monitor the progression of each pupil, submitting weekly reports to track their development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver 1:1 Maths and English lessons to pupils in a supportive and engaging manner
  • Assess pupils' needs and create tailored lesson plans to address their gaps in education
  • Monitor pupils' progress and submit weekly reports to our team
  • Work collaboratively with our team to ensure the best possible outcomes for pupils
Requirements:
  • Experience tutoring Maths and English on a 1:1 or small group basis
  • QTS desirable but not essential
  • Ability to be creative, patient, and think outside the box
  • Experience working with challenging behaviour and disengaged pupils
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or willingness to complete a new application
  • References to cover the last two years of employment
