Job Title: Maths and English Tutor

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Maths and English Tutor to join our team at Prospero Teaching. As a Tutor, you will be responsible for creating and delivering 1:1 tailored lessons to support and re-engage pupils in their learning.

About the Role:

This is an ongoing placement, with hours dependent on the young person's needs. You will work closely with our team to monitor the pupil's progression and submit weekly reports. The tuition is usually 6 hours per week, taking place during school hours.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create and deliver 1:1 tailored lessons to support and re-engage pupils in their learning
  • Work closely with our team to monitor the pupil's progression and submit weekly reports
  • Develop and maintain a positive and supportive learning environment
  • Be creative and patient in your approach to teaching and learning
Requirements:
  • Experience tutoring Maths and English on a 1:1 or small group basis
  • QTS is desirable but not essential
  • Ability to commit to the young person and work for the duration of the placement
  • Hold a right to work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to complete a new application
