Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Maths and English Tutor to join our team at Prospero Teaching. As a Tutor, you will be responsible for creating and delivering 1:1 tailored lessons to support and re-engage pupils in their learning.

About the Role

This is an ongoing placement, with hours dependent on the young person's needs. You will work closely with our team to monitor the pupil's progression and submit weekly reports. The ideal candidate will have experience tutoring Maths and English on a 1:1 or small group basis, with a patient and creative approach.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create and deliver 1:1 tailored lessons to support and re-engage pupils in their learning
  • Work closely with our team to monitor the pupil's progression and submit weekly reports
  • Have experience working with challenging behaviour and disengaged pupils
  • Be creative, patient and willing to think outside of the box
Requirements
  • Hold a right to work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to complete a new application
  • Provide references to cover the last two years of employment
  • The ability to commit to the young person and work for the duration of the placement
