About the Role

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to work on various Defence programmes. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for producing 3D models of piping routes, mechanical compartment arrangements, and HVAC systems using AutoCAD. You will also be required to produce 2D drawings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop 3D models of piping routes, mechanical compartment arrangements, and HVAC systems using AutoCAD.
  • Produce 2D drawings to support the design process.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design meets project requirements.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and records.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of CAD toolsets, including Solidworks and Siemens.
  • HNC/ONC level or degree qualification in a relevant STEM subject.
  • Experience in mechanical routed systems, including HVAC and piping.
  • Knowledge of mechanical compartment integration and engineering standards.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
