Mechanical Design Engineer Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our close-knit engineering team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating manufacturing drawings using Solidworks 3D modelling software, updating manufacturing data, bill of materials and production plans, and calculating the cost of manufacturing for quotations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop new products and manufacturing processes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design and manufacturing alignment
  • Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation and processes
  • Provide technical support to sales teams and customers
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in a Design Engineering role
  • Degree/HND/Apprenticeship qualified in Mechanical or Design Engineering
  • Proficient in Solidworks 3D modelling software
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
What We Offer
  • Competitive salary range: £33,000 - £37,000
  • Monday to Thursday 07:30 - 16:00, permanent position
