About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant General Adult Psychiatrist to join our team at Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical leadership and care to our patients.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical leadership and expertise in adult psychiatry, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with complex mental health needs.
  • Develop and implement effective treatment plans, working closely with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of mental health services, including service redesign and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff, including medical students and junior doctors, to ensure high-quality care and professional development.
  • Participate in education and training activities, including teaching and research, to enhance the skills and knowledge of colleagues and contribute to the advancement of mental health care.
