Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join our team at Teaching Personnel. As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for delivering pre-prepared lessons to classes in the absence of the regular teacher, managing the classroom and maintaining a positive learning environment, and ensuring students are engaged in the assigned tasks and provide support as needed.

About the Role:

This is a temporary position, with the option to make it permanent at a later date. The successful candidate will have a passion for education and working with young people, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to adapt quickly and manage multiple tasks effectively.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver pre-prepared lessons to classes in the absence of the regular teacher
  • Manage the classroom and maintain a positive learning environment
  • Ensure students are engaged in the assigned tasks and provide support as needed
  • Manage student behaviour in accordance with school policies

Requirements:

  • A passion for education and working with young people
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt quickly and manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Flexibility to work across different subjects and year groups
