Senior Psychiatric Consultant - Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services
* Recruitment & Retention Premium Available*
This role includes a Recruitment & Retention Premium for a duration of three years, structured as follows:
20% of base salary during the initial year
15% of base salary in the second year
10% of base salary in the third year
Eligibility criteria apply. Please note that current employees of the Trust are not eligible for this premium.
We are looking to appoint a permanent Senior Psychiatric Consultant to become part of the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) team. This is a full-time position.
Additionally, we are pleased to offer the successful candidate a spot in our 'Safety and Improvement Fellowship' program. In collaboration with a reputable university and consulting firm, we have developed a program aimed at enhancing your skills and experiences in improvement methodologies. The Trust will cover the costs associated with this program.
The successful candidate will be required to participate in the Consultant On Call rota, for which additional compensation will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
The appointee will play a pivotal role in a well-established community mental health service for children and young people. Responsibilities will include providing support to the local child and adolescent service and the emergency and pediatric departments.
Candidates must possess full GMC registration and be listed on the Specialist register of the GMC or be eligible for entry to the Specialist Register within six months of the interview.
It is essential that candidates are Section 12 Approved upon starting employment and have or are eligible for Approved Clinician Status. Compensation will be aligned with the terms of the New Consultant Contract based on prior experience.
