About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join SUEZ as a Team Leader, where you will play a key role in the day-to-day operation of our busy HWRC / Transfer Station.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reporting into the Area Supervisor, you will oversee the operation and routine maintenance of mobile plant items.
  • Ensure that recycling and diversion from landfill is maximised as much as possible.
  • Responsible for the correct use of the permit to work system.
  • Booking of Contractors loads out of the site.
  • Travel to undertake training requirements as well as travel to other sites in the area for staff cover.
  • Any other reasonable request or duties.

Requirements

  • A broad knowledge of mobile plant and any other applicable equipment used within the Waste Management and Recycling.
  • Certification of mobile plant used in site is desirable, although training may be given.
  • An understanding of safe waste handling and recycling practices is desirable.
  • Previous experience of a similar role would be advantageous.
  • A degree of overtime and flexibility is required, as the operations run over a 7-day working week, including all English Bank Holidays.
