About the Role

Hays Education is seeking an experienced administrator to support a dynamic educational setting in Lancaster. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to the leadership team and headteacher, ensuring the smooth operation of the school.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the leadership team and headteacher.
  • Manage school records on SIMS, including student and staff information, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Coordinate and schedule meetings, appointments, and events.
  • Assist in the preparation and distribution of school communications, including newsletters and reports.
  • Handle enquiries from parents, students, and staff, providing excellent customer service.
  • Collaborate with other administrative staff to ensure consistency and efficiency in school operations.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in an administrative role, preferably within an educational setting.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant school software.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • A positive attitude and a commitment to the values and ethos of our school.
