About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Clinical Pharmacist to join our team at Morecambe Bay Primary Care Collaborative. As a key member of our team, you will provide strategic leadership and clinical expertise to support the delivery of high-quality patient care in primary care settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic clinical leadership to PCNs, MBPCC, and Clinical Pharmacists to ensure effective medication optimisation and quality improvement.
  • Develop and implement clinical policies and guidelines to improve patient care and safety.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions and effective communication.
  • Lead on the development of protocols and guidelines to support prescribing initiatives and improve clinical governance.
  • Provide clinical leadership and support to PCNs to improve the quality and effectiveness of their delivery of the PCN DES.
  • Work closely with Clinical Pharmacists to ensure the PCN is compliant with CQC standards.
Requirements
  • Master of Pharmacy (or equivalent) degree.
  • Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) as an independent prescriber.
  • Completion of CPPE PCPEP or evidence of full exemption from the pathway.
  • 5 years' experience of working in a Clinical Pharmacy role and a minimum of 2 years of leadership and management experience in primary care.
  • Competent user of EMIS Web.
  • Experience of managing a team.
  • Evidence of high-quality prescribing practice.
  • Excellent interpersonal, influencing, and negotiating skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
