Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Band 6 Physiotherapist to join our Orthopaedic Department at the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital. As a senior member of our team, you will play a key role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our services.

Main Responsibilities
  • Assess and treat patients with complex orthopaedic conditions, providing expert advice and guidance to healthcare professionals, carers, and relatives.
  • Undertake all aspects of clinical duties as an autonomous practitioner, working independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Participate in continuing professional development and contribute to organisational objectives, driving service improvements and promoting excellence in patient care.
Requirements
  • Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Diploma or Degree in Physiotherapy.
  • Evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) in the form of a detailed personal development portfolio.
  • Specific formal courses relevant to the post specialty.
Desirable Skills and Qualities
  • Experience of at least 18 months in a junior rotational Physiotherapy post.
  • Previous experience in core physiotherapy specialties, including acute inpatient care, respiratory, musculoskeletal, neurology, and community.
  • Attendance at postgraduate courses in related fields and demonstrates reflective learning.
  • Ability to work and interact effectively within an interdisciplinary team and contribute to decision-making.
  • Evidence of commitment to continuing professional development and reflective practice.
  • Knowledge and application of evidence-based practice and clinical reasoning.
  • Establish and maintain a CPD portfolio.
  • Knowledge of areas of influence of psychosocial and cultural factors on health/illness behaviors.
  • Knowledge of discharge pathways.
