Role Overview

The individual in this position will be pivotal in overseeing the procurement of asset management and market data solutions, crafting strategies to enhance profitability while maintaining a competitive edge in the market. Responsibilities will encompass comprehensive sourcing activities, including supplier selection, negotiation, strategy development, and management of supplier relationships, all aimed at achieving or surpassing financial objectives.

Strategic Procurement Planning: Formulate and execute procurement strategies that align with category goals and the organization’s overall objectives.

Supplier Evaluation and Management: Identify and evaluate key suppliers, managing relationships to ensure the delivery of superior services and products at competitive rates.

Sourcing and Negotiation: Spearhead significant sourcing initiatives, negotiating contracts and overseeing supplier performance to realize cost efficiencies and mitigate potential risks.

Cost Efficiency Strategies: Implement strategies aimed at cost reduction, including demand management, volume consolidation, and process optimization to enhance profitability.

Risk Mitigation: Actively identify and address risks associated with sourcing activities, including regulatory changes, supplier risks, and contract management to ensure business continuity.

Collaborative Engagement: Work closely with internal teams such as Finance, Legal, Risk, and Business Unit Leaders to understand their requirements and provide strategic support.

Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Lead efforts to enhance procurement and third-party management practices, ensuring the adoption of best practices in Asset Management and Market Data.

Performance Monitoring: Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate team performance, monitor savings, and identify areas for enhancement.

Desired Qualifications

- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to effectively influence and communicate with stakeholders.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a data-driven approach to decision-making.

- In-depth knowledge of the asset management and market data sectors, including familiarity with both established providers and emerging disruptors.

- Current understanding of contracting frameworks.

- Knowledge of financial services products and regulatory requirements.

- Experience utilizing procurement tools and systems.

- Ability to work autonomously, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment.
