Job Role

As a Children's Support Worker, you'll work closely with children in care, providing support and guidance in all aspects of their lives. Your day-to-day role will involve:

  • Supporting children in educational pursuits and activities
  • Developing and contributing to positive outcomes that shape the future of children and young people
  • Working across various settings, including Mental Health, Autism, Challenging behaviour, Education, and Residential

Responsibilities

As a Children's Support Worker, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting and safeguarding the wellbeing of children and young people
  • Assisting with daily routines, including community and educational settings
  • Organising and facilitating social activities
  • Transportation and working with a multi-disciplinary team to implement safe practice
  • Offering high levels of supervision and support
  • Working in line with Ofsted and CQC regulations
  • Managing complex behaviours and crisis intervention
  • Contributing to care plans and risk assessments
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • Previous experience working with children and/or young adults
  • A Level 2 or 3 qualification in Child & Young Peoples Workforce (CYP) is desirable
  • To be over the age of 21 to meet industry regulations
  • Knowledge in one of the following areas: EBD, SEMH, CSE, or SEN/SEND
  • An enhanced DBS, which you can apply for upon registration
  • A Full UK Driving License (desirable)
