About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dealership Accountant to join our team at Command Recruitment. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for the smooth running of the accounts function, delivering timely and accurate management accounts.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record within the motor industry, with strong technical and analytical accounting skills. You will be responsible for:

  • Monthly management accounts - providing detailed analysis and commentary
  • Collation and examination of the purchase and sales ledger information
  • Supervision of the Accounts staff and the Sales Administrators
  • Analytical support across the business, evaluating profit optimisation
  • Monitoring performance measurement tools and techniques
  • Review of capital and project appraisals
  • Consolidation of group budgets and forecasts
  • Investigative and analytical exercises as required
  • Ad hoc projects

You will be working closely with the Divisional Finance Directors to provide detailed analysis and commentary on the management accounts. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and high-calibre Dealership Accountant to be instrumental in the development and growth of a busy dealership.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Strong technical and analytical accounting skills
  • Exceptional leadership skills but with a good sense of humour
  • A proven track record within the motor industry
  • Previous Accountancy Experience within a Car Dealership and Kerridge, Pinnacle or a similar Accounting Package
  • Strong written and communication skills
