Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join our team at Grange Edinburgh, supporting brands including Aston Martin, Rolls Royce and INEOS. As a key member of our financial team, you will be responsible for providing financial support to the Head of Business, driving operational performance and ensuring the effective running of the dealership and the Company's Guest Experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate dealership accounts within the specified time scale, in accordance with Company accounting and procedural policies.
- Provide accounting support to the Head of Business to enable effective management decisions concerning profitability, cash flow and return on investment.
- Provide accounting information and advice to departmental managers to assist them in managing their departments.
- Exercise financial care and control to minimize the risk of defalcation, loss or misuse of dealership assets.
- Regularly review controls to ensure continued compliance.
- Administer dealership payroll and pension information from Cambria correctly.
- Ensure all taxes are correctly accounted for and necessary returns and payments are made within statutory deadlines.
- Assist the Head of Business in preparing weekly and monthly forecasts based on current and anticipated activity.
- Monthly visits to the Grange Edinburgh dealerships.
Requirements
- AAT Level 4 qualification or equivalent level of experience.
- Full UK Driving Licence or equivalent.
- Previous accounting experience, ideally within the motor industry.
- Knowledge of Pinnacle - desirable.
- Previous team management experience and proven leadership skills.
- Proven analytical skills and action planning experience.
- Competent knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
- Excellent communication, organization and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent numerical, administrative and time management skills.
