Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join our friendly team and take on a challenging role that will allow you to develop your existing career. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for providing financial support to our Head of Business, driving operational performance, and ensuring the smooth running of our accounts function.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Head of Business with financial support to drive operational performance and ensure the effective running of the dealership and the Company's Guest Experience.
- Deliver timely and accurate management accounts, integrating them into the Company's standard structures.
- Maintain and develop controls to maximize returns and cash flow.
- Provide accounting support to the Head of Business to enable effective and rational management decisions concerning profitability, cash flow, and return on investment.
- Provide accounting information and advice to departmental managers to assist them in effectively managing their department.
- Exercise adequate financial care and control to minimize the risk of defalcation, loss, or misuse of dealership assets.
- Ensure dealership payroll and pension information from Cambria is administered correctly.
- Ensure all taxes are correctly accounted for, and all necessary returns and payments are made within statutory deadlines.
Requirements
- AAT Level 4 qualification or equivalent level of experience.
- Full UK Driving Licence or equivalent.
- Previous accounting experience, ideally within the motor industry.
- Proven analytical skills and action planning experience.
- Competent knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
