Job Title: Image Researcher

Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Image Researcher to become a vital part of our Digital Content Team. The successful candidate will be tasked with sourcing, selecting, and overseeing images for our digital platforms, while also providing image research support for print materials associated with our events. A key aspect of this role will involve ensuring the proper rights clearance and attribution of images, along with the management of our extensive image archive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborating with various teams to ensure timely delivery of images for both print and digital media.
  • Conducting comprehensive image research for publications, selecting premium images that resonate with editorial narratives.
  • Managing rights clearance and securing images within budgetary limits and licensing agreements.
  • Curating visual content for social media initiatives and promotional campaigns.
  • Overseeing the archive of images used in current and previous gallery showcases at events.
  • Keeping abreast of industry developments in image research and copyright regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Art History, Visual Arts, Media Studies, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience in image research and rights management, ideally within a publishing or creative agency environment.
  • Solid understanding of copyright legislation, licensing agreements, and digital asset management systems.
  • Proficiency in image editing tools such as Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to juggle multiple projects effectively.
  • A creative eye for identifying visually compelling images.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate effective collaboration.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and their specific image requirements.
  • A genuine passion for the arts and visual culture.
