About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Family Worker to join our team at Spencer Clarke Group. As a Family Worker, you will play a vital role in providing targeted support to families, helping to improve their health, wellbeing, and educational outcomes while preventing issues from escalating to require statutory intervention.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments of children and families' needs, identifying areas for support and intervention.
  • Develop and implement whole-family action plans, regularly evaluating progress against shared outcomes and making adjustments as needed.
  • Manage cases involving children in need or at risk, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures to safeguard vulnerable children and adults.
  • Manage a caseload of families, providing excellent customer service and ensuring timely intervention to address emerging needs.
  • Deliver early intervention packages, including evidence-based programs, or refer families to appropriate services to support their needs.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience working with children, young people, and families, with a strong understanding of the complexities of family dynamics.
  • Experience conducting comprehensive assessments of families' needs using frameworks like the Common Assessment Framework (CAF).
  • Experience creating and evaluating whole-family action plans with a focus on achieving shared outcomes.
  • Experience working with families in crisis situations, including those involving domestic violence, substance misuse, or children on the edge of care.

What We Offer:

  • A competitive hourly rate of £20+ph, with opportunities for negotiation based on experience.
  • A minimum contract term of 3-6 months, with a high likelihood of extension.
  • A 36-hour working week, Monday to Friday.
