Job Description

Job Title: Business Skills Trainer - Learning Delivery

Job Summary:

Pearson is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Skills Trainer to join our team. As a Business Skills Trainer, you will be responsible for developing and delivering high-quality business skills training programs that enhance and develop learners' knowledge, skills, and behaviors.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and Deliver Training Programs: Design and deliver engaging and inspiring training programs that meet the needs of our learners.
  2. Teach and Coach Learners: Teach and coach learners in business, management, and leadership skills in both classroom and virtual environments.
  3. Create Training Resources: Create resources to assist with training programs, such as PowerPoint presentations, workbooks, and handouts.
  4. Utilize Technology: Utilize appropriate technology in the delivery of learning programs to enhance learner experience.
  5. Evaluate and Improve: Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and suggest improvements.
  6. Provide Feedback: Provide constructive, professional, and relevant feedback to learners.
  7. Conduct Coaching Calls: Conduct coaching calls with learners and complete paperwork within agreed timescales.
  8. Maintain Online Presence: Maintain online blogs with learner contributions and regular updates.
  9. Track Progress: Track and report progress of planned learning and maintain records throughout the learner journey.
  10. Identify and Record Absence: Identify situations requiring absence from the program and submit accurate paperwork promptly.
  11. Maintain Accurate Records: Maintain accurate learner records in MIS systems and online learning systems.
  12. Complete Learner Visits: Complete learner visits, either virtual or onsite, as required.
  13. Maintain Positive Relationships: Maintain positive relationships with learners, business partners, and stakeholders.
  14. Coach and Mentor: Coach and mentor learners to develop positive attitudes towards learning.
  15. Attend Meetings: Attend standardization and team meetings as required.
  16. Identify and Record CPD: Identify and record appropriate annual Continuing Professional Development (CPD) activities.
  17. Support Other Qualifications: Assist in the support and delivery of other qualifications/programs as required.
  18. Be Flexible: Be flexible over hours of attendance/work, including evenings and weekends if needed.

Requirements:

  1. Relevant Qualifications: Hold relevant teaching/training qualifications.
  2. Highly Motivated: Highly motivated, flexible, and adaptable.
  3. Excellent Communication and IT Skills: Excellent communication and IT skills.
  4. Proven Coaching and Mentoring Skills: Proven coaching and mentoring skills.
  5. Outstanding Interpersonal and Presentation Skills: Outstanding interpersonal and presentation skills.
  6. Able to Work Independently: Able to work under own supervision and initiative.
  7. Qualified Trainer/Teacher: Qualified trainer/teacher with at least 5 years of training and delivery experience in the business skills sector.
  8. Proven Experience: Proven experience of delivering inspirational and engaging training content.
  9. Industry Competence: Industry competence and experience in a substantive management role.
  10. Demonstrate Use of Technology: Demonstrate use of technology to support effective delivery.
  11. Consistently Operate as an Outstanding or Minimum Good Trainer: Consistently operate as an outstanding or minimum good trainer.
  12. Demonstrate Development of Course Materials: Demonstrate the development of course materials and training resources.
  13. Excellent Written Skills: Excellent written skills for detailed feedback and target setting.
  14. Experience in the Apprenticeship Sector: Experience in the Apprenticeship sector.
  15. Delivery Experience of CMI Qualifications: Delivery experience of CMI Qualifications.
