Job Description

Job Title: Business Skills Trainer

Job Summary:

Pearson is seeking a highly skilled Business Skills Trainer to join our team. As a Business Skills Trainer, you will be responsible for developing and delivering high-quality business skills training programs that enhance and develop learners' knowledge, skills, and behaviors.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and Deliver Training Programs: Create and deliver engaging and inspiring training programs that meet the needs of our learners.
  2. Teach and Coach Learners: Teach and coach learners in business, management, and leadership skills in both classroom and virtual environments.
  3. Resource Development: Create resources to assist with training programs, such as PowerPoint presentations, workbooks, and handouts.
  4. Technology Integration: Utilize appropriate technology in the delivery of learning programs to enhance learner experience.
  5. Training Evaluation: Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and suggest improvements.
  6. Feedback and Coaching: Provide constructive, professional, and relevant feedback to learners and conduct coaching calls as needed.
  7. Learner Progression: Ensure learners are progressing in line with their target achievement dates and liaise with Program Managers as necessary.
  8. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate learner records in MIS systems and online learning systems.
  9. CPD and Professional Development: Identify and record appropriate annual Continuing Professional Development (CPD) activities.

Requirements:

  1. Qualifications: Hold relevant teaching/training qualifications.
  2. Experience: Proven coaching and mentoring skills, excellent communication and IT skills, and outstanding interpersonal and presentation skills.
  3. Industry Competence: Industry competence and experience in a substantive management role.
  4. Delivery Experience: Delivery experience of CMI Qualifications and experience in the Apprenticeship sector.
