About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Night Support Worker to join our team at Riverside. As a Night Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing support and guidance to individuals experiencing homelessness, helping them to develop the skills and confidence they need to rebuild their lives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide one-to-one support to customers, helping them to set and achieve goals and develop life skills.
  • Work with customers to identify and address their needs, providing tailored support and guidance to help them overcome challenges.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers, building trust and rapport to ensure effective support.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and external agencies to provide a comprehensive support service, ensuring customers receive the help they need.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of support plans, ensuring they are tailored to meet the individual needs of customers.
  • Monitor and record customer progress, identifying areas for improvement and making recommendations for change.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of the team, sharing knowledge and expertise to improve practice.
Requirements
  • Experience of working with vulnerable adults, particularly those experiencing homelessness.
  • Understanding of the complexities of homelessness and the challenges faced by individuals in this situation.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of customers.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and policies, including the Mental Health Act and the Care Act.
