About the Role

The University of Oxford is seeking a highly skilled AV Support Specialist to join its Educational Media Services team. As an AV Support Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the functionality of AV systems across multiple sites in the University.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support and maintenance for AV systems, including troubleshooting and resolving technical issues
  • Collaborate with colleagues in Educational Media Services to support teaching and learning objectives
  • Work with teaching staff to ensure seamless delivery of lectures, meetings, events, and online hybrid working
  • Provide end-user support, consultancy, recommendations, and advice on AV-related software and hardware devices

About You

We are looking for a highly motivated and customer-focused individual with a passion for audio visual technologies and communication. You will have:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively within a team and independently
  • Strong IT skills and demonstrable experience of supporting end-users
  • Demonstrable organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and plan work effectively and meet deadlines
  • Confidence in providing technical advice and a working knowledge of copyright, GDPR, and accessibility and inclusivity needs pertaining to AV support
