Contractor Operations Manager

Oceaneering is a global provider of engineered services and products, primarily to the offshore energy industry. Our company develops products and services for use throughout the lifecycle of an offshore oilfield, from drilling to decommissioning. We operate the world's premier fleet of work class ROVs. Additionally, we are a leader in offshore oilfield maintenance services, umbilicals, subsea hardware, and tooling. We also use applied technology expertise to serve the defense, entertainment, material handling, aerospace, science, and renewable energy industries.
Key Responsibilities:- Collate and manage all requirements / inputs as requested by clients in line with the Global Commercial Procedure
- Facilitate and prepare content for procedural review meetings on bid strategy, cost, risk and lessons learned
- Prioritise multiple bids, consistently meet challenging deadlines and effectively assimilate contractual, technical and commercial information in order to provide a highly responsive level of service to meet client requirements
- Produce high-quality documentation that meets applicable standards and is appropriate for its intended requestor
- Analyse existing and potential content, focusing on reuse and single-sourcing opportunities
- Working closely with the Tender Lead and overall, UK IMDS Commercial Department to develop centralised databases, improvements and training plans
- Identify risks, opportunities, mitigation and continuous improvement plans
- After tender award, support the preparation of contract handovers to the project team
- Participate in tender debriefs and collate data to trend reasons for successes and failures.
Requirements:
- Display required levels of engagement and a positive 'can-do' attitude while consistently supporting Oceaneering's culture of safety, quality, ongoing learning and continual improvement
- Efficiency in the use of software packages such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint; any previous proposals software knowledge is preferred but not essential
- Ensure any work-related concerns or breaches in business standards are highlighted to management in a timely manner and in accordance with any relevant procedures or processes
- Eliminate waste of whatever form, to suggest the use of more environmentally friendly substances and practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the environment
- Flexible approach to work schedules in line with the demands of supporting wide geographical demands across multiple time zones
- Experience of working in the oil and gas sector
