About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join our team at Bidwells for a contract between 3-6 months. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in infrastructure management and a passion for delivering high-quality services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain all aspects of on-prem and cloud infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and security.
  • Support and oversee all aspects of infrastructure operations across all sites, including regional offices.
  • Provide technical support through Incident, Change & Problem Management procedures, working closely with the Information Security Team to ensure all infrastructure is secure and protected.
  • Maintain the operation of system environments, including upgrades of platforms, OS, and infrastructure, as well as administration of existing outsourced VMware and cloud infrastructure.
  • Manage storage, including capacity planning, retention, backups, and recovery management, as well as Citrix estate management.
  • Patch management for desktops, servers, networking equipment, and all other hardware, including Active-Directory, M365, Exchange, and SCCM.
  • Undertake proactive, scheduled maintenance work and upgrades, as well as project work, including design, and service improvement work.
  • Support 1st and 2nd line service desk colleagues with escalated tickets as necessary.
Requirements
  • Solid problem-solving skills, with proficient attention to detail.
  • Windows Server 2012 through to 2022.
  • Virtualisation, VMware, or Hyper-V.
  • HP & Aruba Network Switch Patching, Management, and Configuration.
  • Confident in fault diagnosis across technologies & platforms and experience of rectifying faults within established SLAs.
  • Experience operating in a change control and configuration management environment.
  • Ability to competently act as the technical point contact of escalation for incidents.
