Job Title: Senior Documentation Analyst

Job Summary:

Cer Financial Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Senior Documentation Analyst to join our Legal & Compliance Department. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various types of contracts and legal documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drafting and reviewing contracts, including master trading agreements, guarantees, confidentiality agreements, and IT agreements.
  • Drafting formal letters to clients and counterparties.
  • Developing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Responding to internal and external queries related to contracts and legal documentation.
  • Assisting with regulatory change projects and new product development.
  • Liaising with parent company and overseas subsidiaries on legal documentation.
  • Preparing and proofreading documents for execution.
  • Maintaining and updating databases.
  • Updating other departments on concluded documentation.
  • Conducting research into laws and regulatory requirements.
  • Preparing presentations and training on legal and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar role, with a focus on drafting legal documentation for financial products.
  • Financial services experience in a regulated environment is advantageous.
  • Excellent legal drafting and writing skills, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to think logically and quickly grasp documentation architecture.
  • Passion for documentation and legal drafting work, with a willingness to learn from others and independently.
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative and common sense.
  • Co-operative nature, with the ability to work within a team and without supervision.
  • Highly organized, with the ability to meet deadlines, especially during busy periods.
  • Flexible and adaptable.
  • Punctual, well-presented, and able to communicate effectively with staff and external customers.
  • Excellent MS Office skills.
  • A good general education, ideally a law graduate with a 2:1.
  • Language skills are advantageous, but not essential.
  • The candidate must have the right to work within the UK/EU without specific sponsorship.
