Specialty Doctor in Older Persons Mental Health Services

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialty Doctor to join our team in Older Persons Mental Health Services at South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Trust. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing high-quality care to patients and contributing to the development of our services.
Main Responsibilities- Provide clinical leadership to a multi-professional team and liaise with a wide variety of agencies.
- Deliver undergraduate or postgraduate teaching and training, and participate in continuous professional development.
- Participate in research or service evaluation, and use and appraise clinical evidence.
- Engage in Trust Occupational Health initiatives and act in a manner to protect the Health & Safety of patients and staff.
- Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practise at the time of appointment.
- Spent a minimum of four years (full time or equivalent) in postgraduate training in the UK or equivalent medical experience, of which at least 2 years in psychiatry.
- At least 6 months experience in older adult psychiatry.
We are a specialist NHS Foundation Trust that provides community, mental health and learning disability services for the people of Barnsley, Calderdale, Kirklees and Wakefield. We also provide low and medium secure services and are the lead for the west Yorkshire secure provider collaborative.
