Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialty Doctor to join our team as a Clinical Leader for Older Adult Mental Health Services. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to take on a leadership role and contribute to the development of our services.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a multidisciplinary team and providing clinical leadership in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of older adults with mental health issues. You will work closely with other healthcare professionals, including nurses, psychologists, and social workers, to ensure that patients receive high-quality care.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a multidisciplinary team and provide clinical leadership in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of older adults with mental health issues.
- Work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure that patients receive high-quality care.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve patient outcomes and quality of care.
- Conduct regular audits and reviews to monitor patient progress and identify areas for improvement.
- Provide educational programs and training to staff on topics related to older adult mental health.
- Collaborate with other teams and departments to ensure seamless care transitions and coordination.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- A medical degree and registration with the GMC.
- At least 6 months of experience working in older adult mental health.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead and manage a team.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and policies, including the Mental Health Act and Mental Capacity Act.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Benefits
This role offers a competitive salary of £76,000 - £103,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits including annual leave, sick leave, and opportunities for professional development.
